Here at Response we know that Homelessness isn’t a choice and affects a lot of members of our community. One of our main areas of work in our community is focused on the homeless population and those at risk of homelessness. At our centre, we offer information and guidance towards accommodation, debt handling, budgeting and claiming the correct benefits.
We also run a food bank in our centre, open to all, which we ensure is always stocked with pre-prepared food that doesn’t need heating or chilling. This allows us to ensure that any homeless people who visit our centre are able to leave with a bag of food that is accessible and will last them a while.
Alongside our food bank we do our best to provide other essentials, such as hygiene products and clean clothes. We have a clothes rack in our centre with donated clothes and items available for homeless people to take whatever they need.
