At Response, we are dedicated to supporting our community and making daily life a little easier for everyone. Our new town centre location has enabled us to expand our services and create a welcoming space where individuals can access a variety of free facilities and resources.
From 2020 to 2022, we operated a food parcel delivery service to support those in need during challenging times. However, in late 2022, with our move to a more central office, we transitioned to a collection-based food bank model. This change allows community members to visit our center and select the items they need, giving them greater agency and flexibility. While we no longer provide home deliveries, the food bank has become a vital resource, enabling us to serve even more people and provide a more personalised experience.

Our new office has also given us the opportunity to introduce additional services. For example, we now host a clothing rack where donated clothes and essential items are made available for free to those in need. This initiative ensures that individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, have access to clean and warm clothing, especially during the colder months. We also welcome optional cash donations, which help cover the cleaning costs for the clothing and support our food fund, enabling us to sustain initiatives like our breakfast and lunch programs.
Another exciting feature of our new location is the fully equipped kitchen and community space. Here, we host daily “Tea and Toast” breakfast clubs, inviting everyone from the community to come in for a warm meal and a safe, welcoming environment. These gatherings are more than just a meal; they create opportunities for connection and conversation. For our homeless outreach efforts, the breakfast club serves as a critical touchpoint, providing food, warmth, and the chance to meet with our advisors and volunteers. Through these interactions, we assist individuals in taking meaningful steps toward housing, employment, and accessing necessary benefits.

At Response, we are proud of how these initiatives are strengthening our community and creating a network of support for those who need it most.
