Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Response lost its original trustees to personal projects. Since re-starting in January of 2022 we have a new group of trustees with a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds. Below is our most up to date list of trustees :
- Saleem Atcha – Chairman since 24th Jan 2022
Salem has been a trustee since 2021, he is a very successful local businessman with over 30-years’ experience in community work. Saleem was leader of a youth organisation at the forefront of taking deprived young people on holidays either in the UK or abroad. He has also been on the board of trustees for ‘Harmony Youth Project’ since 2001.
- Rachel Crowe – Trustee since 24 Jan 2022
Rachel is a very successful entertainer and businessperson. She has been in the performance industry all of her life. She has played many musical stage roles in her career, touring around England, and then going on to tour the world on various cruise ships. Trained in opera from age 9-16 she has gone on to achieve a diploma in Musical Theatre and vocal coaching. She has also been a board member with ‘Harmony Youth Project’ for over 5 years.
- Marvin Barrett – Trustee since 24 Jan 2022
Marvin started with Response at 18 as a volunteer and took over as project manager in early January 2022 and became a trustee on the 24th. Marvin is our youngest trustee and fits his responsibilities around his university work.
- Emma Safo – Trustee since 24 Jan 2022
Emma joined the Response team in July of 2021 as a volunteer, she has been working with us since then to help improve the lives of people in Bolton and ensure access to mental health and financial aid. She has been a musician for most of her life, starting as a child and for over 10 years has been a qualified psychologist.
- Karolina Golkowska – Trustee since 24 Jan 2022
Karolina is a local dance teacher and choreographer for over 10 years as well as a primary school teacher. She joined Response after we had teamed with a local youth charity on a children’s mental health and dance project and she became more involved with other projects we ran.
- Donneta Bell – Trustee since 24 Jan 2022
Yvonne has been manager of ‘The Valley’ Hotel in Bury for over 30 years and joined Response in late 2021 because she wanted to make a difference in her community and aid those most in need.
